The sun was bright in the sky and the clouds hovered above the big apple tree. Birds were singing and flying

around when Lilly and Adam walked out side. They were talking and laughing while they walked up the hill to

the apple tree.  Lilly was dreding how she was going to try to tell him what was going to happen, but she had

no choose, she had to. "You first." he said in his sweet voice. Lilly climed up the tree in a flash, next Adam

rushed after her.  They sat and talked and watched the quiet river flow past them. The sun started to set just

before Lilly brought it up. "Hey, umm, I don't really know how to put this but," she paused then swalowed

hard, " This is my last day with you." Now to most people this isn't a bother, but to Adam and Lilly, this is

tragic. They have been together for over 1,000 years. He shook his head and looked down. "What do you

mean this is your last day with me?" Lilly reached up to grab an apple, but as soon as she touched it it

turned to solid gold. She plucked it off the branch and handed it to him. "As in 'This is the last time you

will see me." Adam took the golden apple from her, "It's light as a feather!" he exclamed. Lilly chuckled,

"I know. It will be a little reminder of me." Adam turned and smiled at her. He said, "I've got a safe place to

keep this." He waved his finger around the wand and it began to float. The apple spun around, gaining speed

before it flew though his skin into his heart. "Now you will always be in my heart." He said softly. Lilly leaned

over to hug him. He kissed her on the top of her head and said, "I love you." She looked up at him and said,

"I love you, too. With all my heart." They smiled at each other for the last time. "I'll miss you." He said sadly.

"I'll miss you, too. Good-bye Adam." That was the hardest thing to say. "Good-bye Lilly" The wind began to

pick up. It spun around and around, she began to slowly fade away. Moments passed before she had compleatly

disappered. Adam looked out to the setting sun. He put his hand to his heart and remembered the first things he

had ever said to her, "I love you Lillian."
