I skip along the city of Gehenna.
Shrieks of banshees, seeking attention.
Cyclops watch me, kisses from succubi,
gargoyles awaken at night, devils play in the light.
Cracked sidewalks, scenic ruins.
The forgotten are chained, the unknown plague,
goblins and ghouls sing at the front gate.

Smile.
Frowns won’t get you very far.

Demons and monsters no longer infest,
The only inhabitants are we humans.
Here. I frolic and play.
