In the previous article, i wrote of my encounters with the supernatural. In this article, i will tell of the two times that i had seen things in the sky that i couldn't explain, UFOs

The first time, i was probably around 10 years old. It was the summer time and i was living in a town that was directly across from New York City. We were on the Hudson River, and you get great views of the city. Around 9pm, i took my dog Milo out for a walk. We headed down the street towards the river. Were i lived, we were on top of the Palisades, tall cliffs that run all along the Hudson from Jersey City up north to its head waters around Albany.

As we were walking, waiting for my dog to do his business, i happened to look over towards the lights of the city skyline when i noticed something that was flying directly over the river. I thought it was a small plane or maybe a helicopter. The thing was, there was no sound coming from this thing. As i looked closer, i noticed the shape wasn't that of a plane. It was an oval shape, couldn't make out the color, but i do remember the color of the lights that were on this thing. On top were yellow and green flashing lights, and along the bottom, was a series of red and gold colored lights that ran across in a straight line. And the way it moved, like it just glided, heading south over the river. Then what happened next told me that this wasn't an plane or helicopter.

As this thing glided down the river, it stopped, then just started to glid to the north. It didn't turn, or make any noise, it just stopped then started again. The best way i can describe it would be if you take your hand, and move it from left to right, then stop and move it right to left. Thats how this thing moved. As for my dog, you would figure he would be barking or something, but nope, he was just looking for a good place to take a dump.

The other time was about a little over a year later. It was a Saturday night, again during the summertime. That was the night that we would do our food shopping. Usually my dad and i would do the shopping. One thing that stands out about this night also. At the checkout stand there was a People magazine with a picture of Pat Benatar on the cover. I thought she was hot. So, as you can tell, this was in the late 70s.

Anyway, when we got home, i was helping take the groceries out of the car, and as i was coming down the driveway to head into the front door of our house, for some reason i just looked straight up i nto the night sky. And there it was, almost directly over our house, i would say about 20,000ft up, was a series of lights, about a dozen, arranged in a arrow and they were pointing north. Maybe it was magnetic north, i wasn't sure. I just stood there, with a bag of groceries in each hand, with my eyes turned toward the skies. It was like i was fixated on these lights, i couldn't move. I felt that if i did move, they would leave. I started to call out to my dad to come out and see this, but he didn't hear me. So, i ran into the house, threw the bags of groceries on the sofa and ran into the kitchen telling him he has to come out and see this.

Well, i guess you can figure out what happened next. We get to the front of the house, and look up, and they were gone. My dad thought that i was making it up, but i swore to him that what i saw was true. Even as i write this story, i can close my eyes, and still see them as if it happened yesterday.
