And on this part of the road there aren't any homes left.
Just tall green trees that form a canopy overhead.
And cover up the grey sky that is raining April showers,
and you're lost in the green, and the grey, and the water,
and you're happy with this moment even though you know it'll end.

But the ride will soon be over, and you'll be at her home,
and she'll get out and leave you to drive back in the rain.
And then the sky won't be so bright, and the rain'll be harder
because you've just fallen for someone who won't fall for you, again.

And when you've finished falling, and no one's there to catch you,
and you're lying on the ground, struggling in pain.
You'll hate this wistful moment, where you're happy, and you're falling,
and you're driving her back home in the rain.

But right now it is lovely, and you're happy in this moment,
this moment that you're driving her back home in the rain.
and you're lost in the lovely, and the green, and the water,
and the driving, and the girl, and the falling, and the rain.
