A gift unexpected

Soot, deep, alive

Pain expressed, pure, unbridled

Flavor read, hints salty viscousness

Raw, unleashed, assaulting reason

Such purity of emotion

Unsettling to the secure

Shattering the dead fast

A tale woven , in dark desperation

With light unyielding

A gift, absolute

Offered without prejudice

Beneath smeared darkness

A blaze faint, burning fearlessly

Memory, pain of past

Presently stifling, dripping fear

A gift of being

Soul bartered, uncaring

A gift, hope

Without thought, selflessly aware

The answer reciprocal

 Love
