Once again I venture back to this venue to express, in my own way, an evolution of character. This piece was written several years ago and I had forgotten about it. I hope you enjoy and comment if you chose.

Night

Extremes

Blind but alert

Audible overload, flared breathing

The black void, textured

Sensing guidance, reason moot

Cotton mouthed as a precipice races forward

Teetering

Imminent loss of grace

The sheer wanting, counters runaway

An effort defining strain

Emotion staining fabric

Body expressing what mouth can't

Day's sister evokes a maddening response

Knowledge forgotten with the loss of light

Dark imagery given life

Free

Night, but a part

Without

No circle

Hand in hand,  Sunset and Sunrise

I have seen both

Teaching

To be

I must accept what I fear
