To him the vastness of it

is too much for a sane mind to accept

the feelings of helplessness, frustration and confusion

prevailing over all others

wrestling with morals

confined by intolerable laws

seriously considering saying "Fuck it"

and doing what he pleases

partly for it is right

partly for personal satisfaction

control and responsibility tether his fury

while smugness of the other

draw it taught, to the very brink...

Then the smell announces it presence

the bullshit in all its every day glory

flamboyant, charming, diplomatic, etc, etc...

giggling for realization has struck him

hard as a slap

he shakes his head

walking away smiling for he is victorious

choosing a different path

demonstrating more courage then following a herd

for standing alone, by what you believe

truest gage of a person

be it man, woman, or child
