The fear of the unknown

a numbing blackness

which touches all to the soul

It can be devastating

accumulating losses that stagger

even the strongest

A conflict, which never ends

an internal struggle for dominance

littered with more pitfalls

than safe havens

How to navigate such treachery

how does one survive such an onslaught?

no avenue of escape

it is a destined meeting

The outcome solely decided

by the individual

to succumb to the void

or to take the chance and believe

Doubts, trauma that no one can cure but ourselves
