The deep howl of the wind

The high whistling of flying snowflakes

And the harmony of it ever falling

The crackling orchestra of ice

The graceful dance of crystallized drifts

While conducting trees sway in the wind

Their branches glittering like millions of stars

A land unmoving,

Taken by the beauty and serenity

A choreographer's dream

For the scene is executed to perfection

Silence...

The thundering applause of an avalanche

Shatters a quiet wonder

And as the sun rises

The drip, drip, drip

Of a land's joy can be heard

Slowly this shedding of tears turns to rushing

Torrents of new life

Because it knows the song will be heard again

Such is Winter's Song
