An anger so vast I could punch through steel

A disaster so tragic it couldn’t be real

My distaste for humanity sinks a little deeper

And through all this I want only to seek her

She leans on my patience the longer she waits

I grow darker each day that I don’t see her face

With an empty heart I wake up each day

Hoping she’ll fill it in in any small way

But the problem I face is she may never show

And even if she did I might ask her to go

She deserves better than a shell of a man

So I’ll attempt to fill me in any way that I can

I need her right now but that isn’t enough

So I pretend I’m okay, I pretend that I’m tough

The brave face is easy, I've done it for so long

Until I am worthy our love would be wrong

Whoever she is, I hope that she'll wait

Repairs have commenced, but I'm fighting against fate

When the repairs are done, I hope she arrives quick

But I suspect that she won’t, because life is a dick
