Misplaced anger running thin in my veins
All the words I said to you, thrown back in my face
Friendship I thought was a word you valued
How apparently wrong I was, my heart can feel the pain
All the trust I put in you … the love I felt
One wrong word and it has all been replaced
Anger and resentment flowing from you
I can feel your hate pushing on my chest
You feeling wavered from the words of other
I can not control them… yet you expect me to
A “friend” you are and yet you threaten
Threaten to ruin who I am
Tell a person lies to ensure you feel better
Do I deserve a broken heart…?
A destroyed life, to pick up the pieces
Dare I say your friendship has been my biggest mistake?
The pain you cause, the arguments and the hate you draw out
Your willingness to destroy someone… all to save yourself
I realize now that I no longer know you
I thought you trusted me… spoke to me in equal
All along you knew, never would you open up to me
Another friendship to be buried
Time wasted in a life to short
Knowing I shouldn’t care, move on to the people who love me
Yet I can hear the words playing over and over in my head
Knowing now that our bond is broken
But was it ever whole… tied together in spots no one else could access
My heart will mend… for I know it you who is losing
