4 AM. the world was sleeping, I laid unsettled, my noisy thoughts endlessly echoed through my mind silenced only by my awakening.A weird sensation quickly arose, a craving, a hunger for fresh air. After a few minutes the hunger was unbearable so I dragged myself from the comfort of my warm bed, leaving only a mould on the mattress. I quickly threw on any clothing I could find and sneaked out the door. Instantly I was hit with a wall of cold fresh air I felt my hair stand on end as I let out I small shiver to adapt to the outside world.Two. Deep. Breaths to feed my lungs. I walked for 10 minutes nothing but street lights, buildings and the soothing light crunch of my shoes on the pavement, until I arrived at the sea. Footsteps were muted by the explosions of waves smashing into the walkway. The light quickly faded as street lights were replaced by distant boat lights. After walking for 30 minutes I was met by the turner centre, a big building that seemed to create a shadow in the darkness as I passed it the town became visible. Two traffic lights buring with a deep red almost as if to tell me to stop and go back. I passed across the traffic lights the brightness of the town swallowed me,darkness and the sound of waves turned to memories. As I opened my door I just felt that the walk was special somehow.
