The ground burns as ashes fill the air
Fighting exhaustion you march onward
Explosions stir up dust all around your feet
This deadly arena could be your final resting place

Seeing the white of their eyes you shoot lead
Hearing the screams of soldiers falling to the ground
Bodies fly everywhere and a crater is all that's left
All rational thought and reason flee your presence

Time seems to stand still as your ally gets shot
Despite your protests, the reaper reaches him
It steals his last breath away from his shattered body
His death comes as a grim reminder to how fragile life is

Bodies fall all around like meteors from the sky
With your heart blinded by rage, you race to death
As the battle rages, something seems to drive you
It's telling you to never quit

White flags are raised and the fight has ended
But not without the causalities and the death of your comrades
People become prisoners to this driving force
How many must lie dead before the final goal is met?
