In the Trenches

I see clearly
Much too clearly
With the morning
Comes the strange suspicion

Down here in the trenches
The fury is relentless
And now you’re hiding
Not to blow your cover
Your weapon is reset
Please engage the glory

Who will volunteer to suffer
To falter and go under

The terrain is treacherous
Everything seems senseless
A slowing heart beat is the judge and jury
My glassy eyes will close shortly
