must stay put for a year or more, this is not what I want. I do however realise that I cannot go on the road again without some serious funds. I will probably not make the amount I wanted to, £20,000, but I should be able to make a decent portion of it and of cause I'll have my equipment. No, I will most likely have about £15000, this will do. I am truly excited for the bike ride across America I feel that I will learn something about myself that I will keep forever. I have bought a bike so I can start training but as of yet I have used it for little more that going to work and to the shops. My intention is to ride around the Island a couple of times camping and composing; it'll be months before I can do that.

I toasted bread this morning which had mould on it. I didn't realise until I was eating it and tasted the earthy mushroom flavour; I spat. I went on to do my ironing but did not turn on the television and did not plug up my ears with headphones. I ironed and thought. There is a zen like quality to ironing, and washing dishes too, that not many people appreciate. Mundane tasks such as these force one to think and you can often come away from your chores feeling lighter.
