Don't take your mother for granted, think about how things would be if she wasn't here.

When this world makes you feel so alone,
take solace in her warmth.
The hand that rocks the cradle,
nourishes and sustains.

And if you're gone the flowers wilt,
to eventual decay.
and all the mother's tears you've spilt,
must someday go away.

They've burrowed themselves into my heart,
the only thing there that's pure.
You've watched me tear my life apart,
rest now in me, do not endure,

The pain I have caused you, for all of my time,
slumber well in sweet sleep.
The sorrows I bring on my treacherous climb,
they are no longer yours to reap.

A mother's tears remain on Earth,
but they reach deep into the skies.
There is no parallel of worth,
each drip that drops from mother's eyes.

Like tiny diamonds falling to the deep,
each jewel containing a world of love.
Do not let your heart be full, do not weep,
I am coming soon to join you above.
