This is the first poem that I ever wrote. I went through a very tough time last year, and I self-harmed for a while. This poem is about how my fiance found out about that and didn't judge me; he was the one who helped me to recover, and I am now a better person because of him.

Delicate whispers in the middle of the night

I spilled my heart out to you as you held me tight

You thought you knew me until today

I’m like a moon half hidden away

My skin used to glisten with blood red lines

Yet still you stayed when you saw the signs

I thought I knew you yet I was wrong

You really did care about me all along

I feel invincible when we are together

I just know our love will last forever

Stars and sunsets might shine so bright

But you will always be my favourite light
