Hearts should have 'fragile' stamped on them

The first time you told me that you loved me

I felt my heart being dragged from my chest-

Straight into your hands

You cradled it like a mother holds her new-born baby

And you handled it with such care, as if it had ‘fragile’ stamped on it like a cardboard box

But you suddenly took back every single “I love you”

And you dropped my heart like it was a ticking bomb

I felt it shatter to the ground into a million pieces

Now I wish that it was a cardboard box

Because they don’t have any feelings
