My first series of short stories based on The Seven Deadly Sins. This isn't really religion orientated I just found them a good idea for a story. I am aware that there is a published book series based on them, however I have not read them so this is not plaguarised. Sorry for any grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.

'Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags'- Proverbs

' The Seven Deadly Sins'. Mr Marson looked around the class room at 9A. There were a varying range of emotions on their faces, some were bland, some seemed transfixed on something on their laps and some were just utterly bored. Mr Marson felt bad, there was much to learn from early Abrahamic religions and some were still very relevant today.

Mr Marson was a new teacher, he was young and timid, quick to learn, ready for anything and expecting everything. He had heard this was a difficult school, like a posh dumping ground to the rich. Was it someone at the local village pub who had told them that the unloved children of the rich were sent here and were never returned? He stared at the teenagers. All of them looked very well-to-do. They were wearing perfectly ironed, expensive school uniforms and their school bags were only the finest and best known designer .

Mr. Marson cleared his throat loudly , " So does anyone know what the Seven deadly Sins are?"

No one said anything, no one even stirred.

"Does anyone one of the Seven Deadly Sins?"

No response.

" How about gluttony."

A boy at the back suddenly started laughing, " So the Bible hated fat people as well as faggots?!"

The students started snickering loudly.

Mr. Marson frowned, "  There's no need for that kind of language. Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than one requires, it is over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink or wealth items to the point of extravagance or waste, I bet everyone in this room has committed this sin, me included"

Again, no response, Mr. Marson sighed, he guessed they were a bunch of ADD suffering thick heads, none of them were even listning, one boy was obviously on his mobile phone behind the desk.

Mr Marson was wrong however, one boy, right at the back, was listning intently.
