'Tis the tale of a friend of mine,
A boy who went to school with you.
And secretly, he loved you girl,
And deep in your heart, you knew it too.
*
Inspite of your loathing him,
Inspite of all the things you'd say.
Inspite of how you treated him,
His love for you was there to stay.
*
Until his foolish heart gave him strength,
And he walked up to you that fateful day.
When he blurted out his love for you,
And all you screamed was "Go away!".
*
He then went home and locked his room,
He went and sat and wept alone.
He loved you girl, you broke his heart,
You made him cry, you made him groan.
*
He found the pain too great to bear,
So he gulped down a sleeping pill.
He took a second, and then some more,
Until his body was fully still.
*
My friend made a grave mistake,
He mistook a crow for a dove.
And then you made him pay the price,
When all he sought was a little love.
