I walked out of the forest with blood and dirt smeared across my face, as I glance sideways I notice that the forest had been set ablaze by the light of the sun. I smirk watching as the creatures cry out in pain as the sun sears their flesh and their homes burn. The creatures who make it out of the forest I quickly exterminate with a simple gesture of my hand.

I walk away from the ashes where the forest once was and stop as I witness an utter impossibility. A man stood there in front of me, he wore a white cloak and held a blade in his hand. He raised the blade and pointed it directly at me and spoke in a strange language after saying a few quick words he stabbed his blade into the ground in front of himself and a tree sprouted wrapping himself and the blade in the wood. I gasped as I felt the wind in my lungs grow heavy, I groaned and turned back to what was once the ashes of a forest and there stood an angel and it spoke in the language of the man that was enveloped by the tree. The angel spread its wings and opened its empty eye sockets and then it spoke “Turiel you have broken the covenant by destroying this forest and by doing so you have declared war on the Gods themselves.”

I chuckled at the words of the angel then turned and began to walk away without saying a word. I heard the voice of the angel begin to chant and my muscles froze in place. I breathed my last breath and whispered my last words “wake up...”

I awoke and chuckled to myself, this is the fourteenth time I have restarted my life from this point. I looked around my now familiar spawn point and noticed something was off. I heard a voice speak from seemingly no place at all “Turiel this is the last time you may change what has happened make it count child” as the stopped I sat up from the small bedroll I was on and stretched.

“so this is my final chance? We will have to see about that won't we?” I chuckled as I asked myself questions that I already knew the answer to. I already knew this was the last time I would live my life and if I didn't make it count my life would become a tool to unravel the very fabric of time, destroying everything I worked so hard to understand. I walked to one of the thousand doors in this room and opened it. I had learned long ago that all doors lead to the same destination in the end so whichever door I picked it would lead me to my final destination whether I liked it or not.I stepped through the door and my knees gave out and I fell into a deep slumber.

As I began the first dream I felt my body give in to the power of the ancient ones. They consumed all of the energy in my body within a few minutes and then I stood up and closed my eyes trapping them inside my body then devouring the power they stole from me and all of the knowledge they had amassed over the years. I turned and walked through the forest that I burned in my previous existence and chuckled as one animal watched me. I quickly spotted something that wasn't ever here before. It was the tree from my previous dream, that was impossible, when I respawn everything that I changed in this world should return to the way it was before.

The angel sets it hand on my shoulder and whispers in my ear “your magic has faltered I remember the breaking of the covenant” I cursed and turned to face my executioner and the angel opens the empty sockets of his eyes I looked directly into them and my soul is shattered instantly and I fall to the ground as the world turns to blackness around my lifeless body. The angel crouched down next to my limp form and whispered into my ear “you have lost Turiel”.

And then the world began to turn.
