Darkness plagues our minds and our hearts. Everyone feels lost or alone at some point, and I want them to realize that there are people who care deeply about their well-being. You have loved ones and friends who seek nothing but to gain your trust, not to abuse it, but to help you. Its up to you to open yourself to them.

Your heart is an Angel, so sweet and so pure.
It is plagued by a sickness for which there's no cure.
Once, you would wear your heart on your sleeve,
But you know now to care is naive.
Your innocent being has been twisted and torn.
The world has turned you into a creature of scorn.
You see trust as a bedtime tale for the small,
And reality is a nightmare too fierce to recall.
I know you are haunted by darkness and hate,
But I'll be the light that shows you the gate.
There is no cure for the scars you've endured,
But you deserve to be happy, of that I am sure.
Were demons to harm you in any such way,
Then my wrath be upon them like night unto day.
Realize now that you walk through a maze.
You're lost in the myst and your senses are dazed,
But around you are others who seek to escape,
And for once leave their confines and the cruel twists of fate.
It then falls to you to tell Devils from friends,
And loved ones with aches in their hearts to amend.
See, like Atlas you carry the world's crushing weight,
But the burdens you bear alone are too great.
Share with me then the problems you face.
I'll lighten the load and help you save grace.
The wind has been sewn, and the riptide is born.
Take your hand in mine and we'll brave this storm.
You won't be pulled under so shed all your fear.
Smile for the world dear and be rid of your tears.
Look into my eyes and know that I care.
You're safe in my arms, of that I can swear.
