Tender touch your cheek the salt

Trickling paths to budding lips

I like the look of how my thumb collects

Please don’t watch me do this

I must protect you Little one,

let me go, please, let me go

You’re the only one who hasn’t yet

Still the anchor that stops the flow

The part of me that lurks inside

It’s that piece of me to be despised

Broken glass, and torn flesh

This isn’t real is it?

Today I love you more

Than I ever have before

In this tender, brings the night

I touch the silk of storms and light

I must protect you little one,

Don’t let me go, whispers don’t don’t

You’re the only one who hasn’t yet

Still the anchor that stops the flow
