Poem about about a person growing wiser through experience and not letting the bad define them

Have faith my friend, my love, the time will come

Things left behind can remain undone

For now you know what to do with the time given you

I know you can build more from each truth

And you will wish to accomplish always more,

Be content, look inside for what you're searching for

Be the worlds great optimist,

Or my love, I will, if you insist

Peace will fill your heart with all that is sought

Keep your steady stride of grace over rough

Let the lessons learnt fill your soul in the empty places

The time will come, has come, to define those spaces

I know you, you are closer than ever

Don't let loss define your "I will never"'s

Others will see, will see how you have grown confident

It shines through with your strength, light will be leant

Have faith my friend, my love, the time will come

Search for peace not per-fec-tion

You will know what to do with the time given you

I know you can build more with each truth

So often we rush through life looking for something when all we need is a little reflection. Thank you very much for your comment.

lost love long forgotten

Nice piece it is very inspirational. I try to be the optimist in both my family and my town because here there are people who are sad and some even depressed. I try to give people a smile even when they aren't smiling because smiling is contagious. I've read an article that says if you smile at anyone no matter what mood their in they'll smile at the next person starting a chain reaction. I enjoyed your poem very nice. Good job

Thanks very much for your kind words, and I hope you keep on smiling for those who cannot.
