~~Once upon a time, in a land not far from where you are reading this, there was a man. A humble guy, he didn't really have a care in the world. He was free to do anything his heart could conjure, anything his mind could decide. He was an adventurer, a dreamer, and a thinker and he loved to make up fantastic fantasies about saving the day, or the damsel in distress. He was happy with his life. There wasn't a thing that weighed him down, for he was content. He was happy as could be.
One day the man decided to join a play at his church. At first he was skeptical, it being a church skit and whatnot, but, he decided to try it out.  He would have been fine to go there and to just do his thing. But then something happened. Something that would change his life as he knew it. Forever. One moment would completely alter his future. It would begin a new stage in his life, one which at the time he was not ready for. He was going on an adventure. The adventure of love.

If he would have realized the thrill ride this singular moment was going to throw him into he probably wouldn't have went...or...maybe he would of. Who knows. No one.

It would be the first time he saw her. The girl. The one who would take his very life in her hands and mold It unknowingly. She was beyond perfect. At the time she extraordinary. Surprisingly, the man was able to keep his knees from buckling from the sheer surprise of her. He had never seen something more beautiful. Not in the Rays of the sun or in the Crimson red of a rose in bloom. In that moment. The 5 seconds in which they had looked at each other eye to eye. He knew that he was hooked, caught like a fish on the end of a line. Little did he know the pain those eyes , her eyes, would hold for him. He couldn't have dreamed the way her mouth would crush him but at the same time give him wings to fly. He couldn't dream the future they would have together. The adventures they would have, they laughter they would share, the sadness they would both endure. All he knew was he was In love. True love. The rare kind that only exists in movies. Love at first sight.

For three long years he would stand from afar. For three years he would be crushed by her. Over and over again his heart would be crushed into something un recognizable. For three years he would feel her pain and her happiness. He would rides waves of happiness and yet still be sucked into the deep. Everywhere he would look he would see happy couples moseying around doing what the average couple does. He would feel the jealousy as he saw the girl constantly go for guys. Guys that were not him. He did his best to hide from her his feelings. Not entirely for his sake but for hers. For over the years they had become best friends, and they told each other everything. From their favorite foods to their darkest sins. He couldn't bear to reveal it to her. To be honest, his love for her would be something she could not bear herself. And he couldn't bring himself to do it.

In those three years his feelings, his courage, his mind was constantly tested. Not a day went by when he didn't think of her, and how she would never love home too. Everyday she would break his heart and then put it back together. Over time his feelings became so raw, so bare, that what would have originally shattered him to a million pieces became just another day.

Secretly inside he knew their love could never be. He knew it was like trying to catch catch the most beautiful star in the sky. It was hopeless. Impossible. It was forbidden love.

But yet. Even though it was impossible. Even though everyone told him to stop. He kept going. He never gave up. He always grasped at the small hope that maybe she would realize just the extent of his love for her and maybe. Just maybe. Finally loving him too.

Most people don't know what true love is. But the man. He did. He knew what it was like to stick with something when it is impossible, to keep going when the odds are always against you. He learned just how powerful love is. He learned that if you truly love someone nothing in the world can stop you. It can break down any wall. If it's true, and pure, it's the most powerful thing in the world. And so the man committed  himself. To keep fighting. To keep going. Even if she would break him in half for the thousandth time. He would keep fighting for her, fighting for the thing he could never have. And one day. One day. He may be able to finally be at peace.

So how does the story end? Well. That's for you to decide. And the man? Yah. That's me. And my tale. Well. It's still being written.
