Leaving

Oh school, how I will miss thee-those times in summer when I was care-free.

The school was my sanctuary-my home-my Eden-and now I shall rest there no more.

It’s where I learnt, read-and first bumped my head. Now I leave-to a new kingdom-one of equal majesty to the last.

Those memories I have-of ‘it’ and ‘stuck in the mud’ –shall always rest in my head.

But-before I go-listen to me here-live for the moment, and never pass by the year.

Now we shall leave-forever to be forgotten-but remember next year the torch will be passed on to you-and you will be students too.
