and the sun flakes fell

capturing my heart again

bypassing the rhythms I had come to understand.

Laughter, saddness, fear and joy

flooded my being

tuning into an identity

of a frozen past.

Then softness approached

wanting to touch upon a deeper meaning.

Echoes from past experience

saddening my view

yet longing to be this again.

And the person I have become

wanting to heal the experiences

and to hope for more.

though the sun flakes fall

upon me

there are no promises.

and a mixture of old and new

come together

wishing to be.
