Come the dawn my shadow dances.

He approaches me to say:

"get up, get up you sleepy head

come sift through the meadows today!

He says"

"Wishes are true, as true as gold,-

and moments have a way of folding in."

*

The shadow people take the wind

by it's tail

to spin out a new day

with moments to spare.

They say:

"Wishes are true, as true as gold.

And moments have a way of folding in"

*

Come the noon hour my shadow rests

and asks of me:

"come, contemplate the silence with me,

and penetrate it

as you know best!"

*

Come the evening hours

my shadow goes,

though where he goes

no-body knows.

Yet when I sleep, he slips me dreams

from where it is he somehow flees.
