I took a train to yesteryear

To look inside an age old fear.

When I stood tall in front of it

It sort of seemed to disapear.

Then as I turned to walk away

I felt a presence come my way.

As I stood there silently,

I heard a voice in back of me

Just a whisper of a sound

And as I turned to look around,

This little thing behind me now

I always knew to be so tall

Was nothing but a tiny shadow

And I felt for it a little sorrow

Then he lookedto me and said:

"I've been with you for so long

Please don't leave me hear alone

I am scared myself as well

For I am Fear as you can tell.

My comfort was inside of you

Now how will I live? What will I do?"

I too had been with it so long

If I let him stay would this be wrong?

Together a conclusion made

A place for him and he obeyed

Deep inside a memory

Wrapped up safe and snug

Now and then should he awake

I'll squeeze us both a little hug.
