SOMETIMES

Sometimes I wonder if my angel is around

When I listen close I do not hear a sound.

I see a yellow butterfly flutter slowly by

I look up to the sky and ask why?

Later as I sit and watch the sun begin to fall

Resting in the grass among the birdie calls

Surrendering to beauty as the sun turns orange and red

And the sky is turning pink as the clouds drift over-head.

Sentimental journey washes up inside of me

Then the peace becomes and I am glad to simply be.

Deeply I breathe and find that I'm not breathing just my breath

I truly swear the life of me my breath became His breath!

Yes you see the breath I breathed

It was the breath of God.

clinging to my heart I mutter prayers inside my head

Thanking my dear God for the feast I've just been fed.
