Subsequently speaking

I stepped into the meaning

there it was that I

was somehow barely seeing.

though thought and sight

they were not right,

and the meaning

wasn't pleasing,

sure enough I took from it

a cosequential feeling.

Pleasing to my ears and eyes

I like the new-found feeling

but subsequent emotions

at times are not appealing.

Torrid days do find me now

and true, I must confess

I wasn't hiding from the cloud

it's rain I do protest.

So from here I sit and stare

heart wanders to and fro,

I can not help at times regress

inside a tiny shadow.
