Hands fold in silence on the bed

No words come forth inside my head

It's been a while since I've been here

Nor am I still the same, I fear

Even as I sit on bended knee

This darkness looms inside of me

The ever-present voice I hear

Whispering sweet poisons in my ear

I know the things that you would say

And while I do long to obey

I find myself still quite ashamed

That over you this life I've claimed

I'm nothing more than an empty shell

Ravaged by the sins in which I dwell

Turning away I let tears flow

For I am only, simply, hollow.
