A few years ago, I wrote four or five lines. Yesterday, I expanded and improved this poem. Eileen's beautiful comments are probably causing me to express more. Thanks to her.

No anger in the heart[1]
Born to love, born to write
Born to care, born for you
Whole or part
Your name echoes
Within the chambers of my heart
Keep it secret, don’t impart
I think of you day and night
When the day is clouded or bright
Whether the sky is dark
Or beaming with light
From the start
I dreamed of you, a work of art
I think of you day and night
Under the sun, under the rain
Above the cloud
Remain in sight
I forgive you
In forgiveness there is power
There is might
There is no anger in the heart
Only warmth, only longing
With the fire still raging
And the flames are consuming
All the forest, all the land
Stop complaining
End the moaning
End the war, stop the fight
End the pain, don’t depart
Stop the stabbing
In the chambers of the heart
Whole or part
