Strangers with Candy

There I am. Wondering what must go through his head, wondering if I could ever, just ever say something. Work up the courage, the possibility to say something. I work in a cafe, every other morning, I carry this same tray, with a painted smile on my face. He works in a tattoo parlor, eyes that speak a thousand words, he orders the coffee, no wait, the cappuccino. I take in some air and smile as he stands in line to put in his order.

" Hello welcome to Cafe Delenza, how may I help you?" I ask, smiling a bit, trying not to seem too obvious.

" Yeah uh, can I get my regular cappuccino?" He asks pulling out his wallet.

" Sure thing," I say placing his order. I breath harder when he hands me the money. My finger touches his finger, I pull away quickly.

" So, I've been coming here for like a year, right?" He asks. Is he talking to me? He's talking to me!

" Yeah, I think it's about a year."

" All this time and I still don't know your name." I blush, covering my smile gently with my hand.

" I'm Aseena. You are?" I ask.

" Kent. I work at the tattoo parlor across the street."

" Yeah, I noticed." I laugh a bit as I hand him his hot drink. He stratches his head and holds it.

" So uh, Aseen, would you, like to go out some time?" He asks. My eyes grow wide, my heart races, don't screw this one up!

" Yeah, uh, sure."

" Ok, how about tonight? If you're not busy, I mean it's Saturday, right?"

" Yeah, sure, I get off at 6."

" Want to go out for dinner? My treat?"

" Yeah sure, that sounds great."

" Cool, I'll pick you up around 8."

" Ok, here let me give you my address." I write down my address on a plain piece of order paper and hand it to him, he smiles.

" Ok, I'll see you at 8."

" Ok, bye!" I give a small wave and before I knew it, my heart gave in. This isn't real. He asked me out? Interesting, I haven't been asked out in 5 years when I was 18! The day went by pretty slow, nothing really happened. I couldn't wait to get ready to go out for dinner with Kent though. As 5:30 swung by, I smiled, knowing we are about to close in 5 minutes. The cafe was pretty empty. There was some guy drinking his coffee by the window and a girl finishing her chocolate cake. The door opened and suddenly my heart started to pound. It was a girl, a girl familiar, but have I seen her? I began to shake inside and breath heavy. She is beautiful, the most beautiful girl that I've ever seen in my life. Her pink, lushish lips that were wet and kissable. Her figure, lovely thighs and hips and C cup breasts. Her eyes glow bright in my eyes and her hips swing slowly as she approaches the counter.

" Hello, welcome to Cafe Delenza, how may I help you?" I say robotically. She smiles a white, beautiful smile as me and opens her mouth.

" Yes, I would like the hazelnut coffee, please." She says giving me a cute glance. I smile and nod. She dug through her purse looking for her credit card, I held out my hand when she had reached it. She looks at me, smiles, looks down at my hand, and slowly slides the card in my hand, running her finger down my palm. My heart races. I have never seen such a girl in my life, I'm not even a lesbian, but I'm falling for her fast. I slide her card and return it to her, she laughes and puts it away.

" Hold on, your coffee will be ready in a minute." She nods.

" What's you name?" She asks me.

" Aseena."

" Aseena, that's a beautiful name."

" Thank you very much." I put the lid on the coffee and hand it to her.

" I'm Ann." I smile.

" Nice to meet you." She licks her lips and smiles.

" So Aseena, how long have you been working here?" She asks me.

" For awhile now, I really need the money to pay my rent."

" Interesting, do you like it here?"

" Well, it has its good days, but I wouldn't say it's the best." She laughs and I immediately laugh with her.

" You're funny. Well, thank you for the coffee."

" No problem, thank you for your service." She turns around.

" Would you like to go out with me some time?" She asks.

" Oh, I don't know, I'm not a-" I begin, but she interrupts me.

" That's ok, I'm not looking for a relationship, it's just, you are a cool person and I noticed you from time to time and I was wondering if we could, get to know each other."

" Oh, ok, sure!"

" Good, how about tonight? You can come to my place."

" Or maybe you can come to my place," I insist. She smiles.

" Alright, that sounds good." I told her where I live which is around the block from here.

" I'll see you at 8? Maybe?" I say.

" Yes, 8 will be fine. Bye Aseena."

" Bye Ann." I smile and realized that she was more beautiful when she talks, when she smiles, when she breaths. Everything about her. Everything I would want. But that not my type. Not at all. Really? Really. I think.
