Nocturne by Dale G. Dalby
As darkness falls I feel alone with my personal thoughts and feelings.
The Stars come out and combat the moon as if on endless ceilings.
When crickets chirp and night sounds start, inside I feel a glow.
Rushing out from deepest depths, it comes forth in a steady flow.
A gladness comes from everywhere, and captures my every dream.
I feel alive and glad to be, with nature to guide her stream.
The wind comes up and glides me by, as the word cries forth her charm.
Trees whisper softly in the night, and life is full in each leafy arm.
