“So close” by Andrew Lawrence

Used to feel so close you should've called me Cush,

Used to hear a soft gentle voice,

But now all I feel is a forceful push,

Knocked far back without a choice,

Tired confused and torn apart,

Why is this happening to me,

Thrown away like an aimless dart,

Like a helpless fish in the sea,

And when I give a helpless cry,

Nobody hears but me,

When I feel the will to die,

Nobody seems to see,

I gave you all I had and more,

But now this is a memory,

To you I'm now a worthless chore,

Can't it return to how it used to be,

I want you more than ever before,

I need to see your smile,

Please just open the big bold door,

So that we can spend a while.
