I am a brick

a similar shape to any other brick

a rectangle block neither thin nor thick.

but when placed in a wall I become more.

a part of a building  a house , a church , mabe even a store.

you look upon me as a just a building meterial

but everything about me is anything but menial.

the fire it takes to mould and make me

takes effort and sweat to start the process of giving me shape and strength .

usually I am 100 mm by 215 in width and llength.

there is an imperial size of my kind

but is rarely used  nowadays so is out of mind .

But was once so popular after the war

that they rebuilt Great Britain right through to its core.

ill always be there too keep the weather off you

to insulate you to house you.
