Canyons, lakes and reservoirs, vast but empty.
Drying life disappearing completely.
My eyes weep but no tears fall.
Gone from me, gone from us all.

Why is peace so fleeting?
Why is life so defeating?
Who are you to me?
Who am I to see?

Nothing has ever been so empty as the promises made.
Our ties, treaties and treason will watch this all fade.
