Quiet eyes across the room

Quiet eyes see my thoughts,
All the things I know or want,
From future dreams to fights I fought.
Quiet eyes see my heart,
Trying to see if it’s cold or warm,
It seems as if they think I’m tart.
Quiet eyes see my soul,
Hoping to find something,
Maybe a stirring or darkness like coal.
Quiet eyes see me,
And from my seat we stare,
And his eyes are as deep as the sea.
