Weeping, weeping, rivers of milk and honey,
A sad sweetness that both delivers and punishes.
And I ponder what the future will bring,
Where happiness will find me.
Tendrils of creativity blindly searching
pero que lastima, halted in their quest
An obstacle of guilt and greed, a firm hand
Ceasing their appetite, shifting focus
Bound not by desire, but by circumstance
By debt, a tribute to sacrifice
And so they travel, with borrowed eyes and borrowed dreams
A quest to please, to make certain
That such labor will not have gone to waste.
