I was once trapped inside a room. We all have been at some stage, whether literally or metaphorically. Trapped and then set free. That is what this poem is all about. Entrapment and freedom.

The darkness is blinding,
My skin has turned pale,
There's no way of hiding,
I hang by the nail.
In search of temptation,
Each sensation forlor',
One yearning salvation,
I lurch to the door.
The door opens, Slam! And light bathes my skin,
Freed of The Room, excitement exuding -
Flesh flushed with colour, face warped by a grin.
There's people and birds, vibrant and living,
Wind brushes my face and flails my hair,
Now I can witness a world oh so fair.
