How can I live up,
To these expectations,
I’ve never been perfect,
So why do you expect me to be?
I feel so broken,
So ugly,
So disgusting,
And it was you,
Who made me feel this way.
I’m through trying to live up,
To these twisted expectations,
I’ve never been my own person,
I’ve always tried to make you proud of me,
I feel so mixed up,
So abstract,
So blurry,
And it’s all because,
I’ve never gone my own way.
So I’ll ride along,
On a gentle breeze going nowhere,
With life and love,
By my side,
Please stand aside,
And watch my hopeful suicide,
Witness the rebirth,
Of my life.
Get somebody else to live up,
To these selfish expectations,
I’m nobody’s puppet,
So why do you expect me to be?
I feel so joyous,
So awake,
So uplifted,
And it’s all because,
My mind has woken up.
I’ll only live up,
To my own expectations,
I’m going to be my own person,
I hope you'll choose to be proud of me,
I feel so blissful,
So complete,
So free,
And it’s all because,
My heart has woken up.
So I’ll ride along,
On a gentle breeze going nowhere,
With life and love,
By my side,
Please stand aside,
And watch my hopeful suicide,
Witness the rebirth,
Of my life.
For all those,
Who feel so alone,
You don’t have to live up,
To everyone else’s expectations,
You can turn it around,
Join me in my hopeful suicide,
You cansave your life,
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!
I’ll ride along,
On a gentle breeze going nowhere,
With life and love,
By my side,
Please stand aside,
And watch my hopeful suicide,
Witness the rebirth,
Of my life.
