I was in the midst of a storm as I wrote this. I'm deathly afraid of storms and this helped to console me.

Laying curled up in my bed,

The sky cracks and roars overhead,

My body quakes with fear,

I'd rather be anywhere but here.

It's the wind that scares me the most,

That violent bellow of a heavenly host,

The stormy gusts rip and tear,

Lord, please just send me somewhere.

Outside I hear the tornado's song,

Lord, please don't let this last too long,

I'm frozen to the bed sheets in fear,

Lord, I'm begging you, send me anywhere but here.
