All humans are sinners. Even priests and sunday school teachers have sinned. But we must rise above it, lest we join the ranks of the haunted men.

In our suits as black as an eclipsed sun,

We wander about the countryside,

Seeking something to slake our thirst,

And a way to put our minds to rest.

We are not vampires,

Nor are we the incubus,

We are not the things that go bump in the night,

Nor are we wicked goblins in the closet.

We are merely mortal men with immortal sins,

Who only wish to live again,

Before the hammer falls,

And we die empty deaths.

We are the damned and the forsaken,

Who's mistakes have cost us,

We are walking messages,

To those who would destroy themselves.

Our mistakes have turned us into monsters,

Who's footsteps scorch the earth,

Take heed young and corruptible soul,

Before you you join our never-ending ranks.

All men are sinners,

There are no exceptions,

You cannot escape it,

But you can rise above it.

If you choose not to hear us,

If you choose to wallow in your sin,

Then I welcome you,

To the ranks of the haunted men.

We are not vampires,

Nor are we the incubus,

We are not the things that go bump in the night,

Nor are we the wicked goblins in the closet.

We are mortal men,

Who chose to relish our sin,

And now we pay the price,

So I welcome you . . .

To the ranks of the haunted men.
