I did a photo-manipulation of a Doe carrying young girl over a lake and it reminded me of Christmas Spirit, not really sure why. This is my first poem published on this site. Please let me know what you think :D

Christmas Spirit

You dance around the frosted lakes,

Leaving trails of swirling flakes.

Your white coat so light,

Like a ghost in the night.

As your ears twitch, listening...

Just listening.

And your eyes so blue,

Like ice, clear and true,

Watch the world pass by,

Living long till we die.

And on your back you carry,

The burden of winters parry.

For it is you who was sent,

To count down the Advent.

You are the Christmas Spirit,

And on the edge of Spring you sit.

Living off hope and candle light,

Shining day, Shining night.
