Slipping through your fingers
I belong to no one
Free as a bird
But looking down at the ground
Time is running out
Doubts are growing
Heart starts to ache
The beat begins to race

I want to be with you
Even for just a moment
To feel free, but at home
To be partly yours and mostly my own
Come look at the stars with me
One last time
Before I fly away
Slipping through your fingers
But at home in your heart
