I guess
Not many appreciate
The comfort and welcoming
Of an old bedroom
Until they’ve traveled for a while
With sleepless droughts and restless bed sheets

They return home and welcome their bedroom
As much as their bedroom has welcomed them
And fall into a deep sleep
Only to wake to the place
Where imagination flourished
Music was a teleportation device
And the world was shut off with a slam

They look around at the things in the room
Old books, old pictures…
They realize they too, are old
They changed, they’re different, a version of their childhood bedroom
Traveling elsewhere, trying to find themselves, trying to discover the world

They suddenly find comfort in their most recent discovery
