I shut the door, locked it tight.

Pushed my back against it, closed my eyes.

Heard the breathing, so close to me.

Felt it scrape the wood, an angry sea.

Silence follows, I swallow my fear.

If I move, it might hear.

I lick my lips, so unsure.

My heart hurts, the only thing pure.

Breathing accelerates, the door is pushed.

I scream, so loud, to call for help.

It growls at me, deep and soft.

I try to run, I feel so lost.

I am trapped, the room so small.

I turn around, desire conqures all.

He has yellow eyes, rimmed in black.

His body grows, then turns back,

Frightening me, I try to be brave.

I can only try, for I am a slave.

This demon feeds off my lonely life.

I can do nothing, I only fight.

I get nowhere, stuck in time.

I can only scream, and try to rhyme.

I think of love, your gentle touch.

But I've lost myself, given up.
