public park resident

The night arrives with no moon,

laid to sleep with no hope for dreams.

knowing we will awake to the reality of now

and all fantasy and goals fall flat to the ground.

Dreams are illusions when bills

cloud your thoughts.

fighting day by day to wake and fight the same pain

what are we, merely creatures of survival?

merely a being surviving on hopes and dreams.

the inability to convert dreams into reality

is visible in his eyes.

words float out his mouth that no child would beleive.

what makes him a liar?

in the pursuit of dreams he has lost his head,

roaming through life.

blood pumping a headless body.

theirs no such thing as dreams anymore

just harsh reality.

how can we feel,

when like a pill

we cannot swallow

we neglect whats real.

headless as he may be, what has his eyes seen’

drove to insanity.

although it is he we mock,

for his inrevelance to time.

we are the ones stuck 9-5 looking at the clock.
