This song came to me like a flash of the lightning. Grasp is basically about my dreams to be a song writer and a writer (generally the art side stuff). I realise living in a country which doesn't appreciate music or art, I can't achieve my dreams. Devastated, I was a little moody and this song came to my head. So here it is! Hope you like this.

(Verse 1)

Voices resonating in my head,

As I tried to reason out with my day,

The beating of my heart is aching,

But it’s still beating with a perfect rhythm.

A kaleidoscope of dreams,

Fragile like glass, only I need to relive it,

But sticks and stones are breaking my bones,

Creating an abundant bloody, painful holes.

(Bridge)

Why am I flailing around,

What am I really here for,

Waiting for miracles to be found,

When am I going to achieve it.

(Chorus)

For all the times I’ve done,

Just to break your heart,

I don’t mean it, really mean it,

Stumbling in his footsteps,

I can’t make it, really mean it,

I thought I could, change my path,

Embracing what oppose to who I really am,

I thought I could, grasp another,

Another chance to make my dreams come true,

What am I really trying to grasp,

Disappears.

(Verse 2)

Papers strewn all along the floor,

Marking my territorial defenses,

Each tears are scars to hold,

Reminding me of my origins.

Millions of books falling,

From the sky angels of mine,

Reminiscence recollecting,

Do you remember how much had thrown away.

(Bridge)

How am I supposed to do this,

How am I to tell you,

Have you ever noticed me,

Clues and hints were given by Him.

(Chorus)

For all the times I’ve done,

Just to break your heart,

I don’t mean it, really mean it,

Stumbling in his footsteps,

I can’t make it, really mean it,

I thought I could, change my path,

Embracing what oppose to who I really am,

I thought I could, grasp another,

Another chance to make my dreams come true,

What am I really trying to grasp,

Disappears.

For all the times I've failed,

When my ship failed to sail,

The captain lost it, really mean it,

And when the hole suck me in,

Falling down to the abyss,

Losing control, really mean it,

I thought I could, navigate,

But a compass isn't gonna work if I can't use it right,

I thought I could, grasp another,

Another chance to make my dreams come true,

But living in delusion, blinded by my simple emotion,

What I am trying to really grasp disappears.

Disappears,

(Down down down the hole),

Disappears,

(Grasping out, reaching out).

Miles away ahead of me,

Why have I deluded myself,

To believe it, really mean it,

Chained by circumstances,

Widening the distances,

Getting tired, really mean it.

As days passed by,

And the seasons changed,

People evolved and soon I’ll be left out,

I thought I could grasp another,

But that dream is forced into the black hole.

(Chorus)

For all the times I’ve done,

Just to break your heart,

I don’t mean it, really mean it,

Stumbling in his footsteps,

I can’t make it, really mean it,

I thought I could, change my path,

Embracing what oppose to who I really am,

I thought I could, grasp another,

Another chance to make my dreams come true,

What am I really trying to grasp,

Disappears.

For all the times I've failed,

When my ship failed to sail,

The captain lost it, really mean it,

And when the hole suck me in,

Falling down to the abyss,

Losing control, really mean it,

I thought I could, navigate,

But a compass isn't gonna work if I can't use it right,

I thought I could, grasp another,

Another chance to make my dreams come true,

But living in delusion, blinded by my simple emotion,

What I am trying to really grasp disappears.

For the actions done, reprimand,

Shackled me, so the end,

I am a failure, really mean it,

My sight starts to dim and waver,

The goal post disappears,

I can’t reach it, failing to grasp it.
